Journalism for Social Change

Welcome to the official launch page of Vice Versa Global Magazine – Seats of Change 2026.

In this special 2026 issue, we bring you an extraordinary collection of stories written directly from the grassroots. Produced entirely by community journalists, this edition amplifies the voices of women who are actively redefining leadership, safeguarding community rights, and driving systemic social change across East Africa.

About the 2026 Issue: Seats of Change

The Vice Versa Global Magazine – Seats of Change 2026 explores what leadership looks like when it is stripped of formal titles and rooted in everyday resistance, justice, and community resilience.

From the remote plains of Turkana to the coastal towns of Kilifi and the bustling streets of Kibera, women are stepping into spaces where they were once excluded. They are transforming local governance, demanding health equity, reclaiming lands from climate destruction, and building survival mechanisms that move far beyond donor dependence.

Why Community Journalism Matters

Every story in this edition is reported by local voices. True journalism for social change requires proximity. By strengthening the community journalism ecosystem, Vice Versa Global Magazine – Seats of Change 2026 bridges the gap between institutional decision-makers and the lived realities of the people.
